Impressed by the spacious Standard Double Room and excellent breakfast quality. The room felt a bit dark.

Comfortable accommodation with engaging evening entertainment nearby.
My experience was marred by the lack of luggage assistance. I had to struggle with my bags due to the inconvenient public parking, far from the hotel. I was frustrated by the unavailability of complimentary water in the room, and the hotel's front desk staff were not particularly helpful during my inquiries. The check-in process felt disorganized, and I left feeling exhausted rather than relaxed.

The location is probably the single best thing about the hotel. It's right bang in the centre of Kotor. We also liked the rather kitsch bathroom in our room. Although we booked just a standard room, we got a very big one (for European standards at least) looking on the square, but it was right above the hotel's bar. I think that was because many people ask for a "quiet" room and get put somewhere at the back of the hotel. Happy to report that although we were on the second floor right above the bar, and it was Friday night at peak holiday season, the level of noise was completely fine. You are staying in the middle of a town so can't really expect complete silence.
1. The breakfast was pretty unappealing. We had a look and decided to go eat elsewhere. 2. The internet in our room wasn't working, neither was the wifi in the lobby. The staff showed minimal interest in helping me get it to work. 3. Parts of the bathroom could have been cleaner. All in all, considering the price of the room, we did expect better.

Good service, extremely comfy hotel.
Real good overall experience. Breakfast was above average, great views, wonderful location just off the main square where the entertainment lasted until around midnight, the Venetian fort, and the beach club. A comfortable atmosphere along with efficient personnel.

Outstanding location; beautifully renovated with oak used everywhere; good breakfast buffet; good choice of light lunches outside; efficient management. (I ate my dinners elsewhere, but only for the sake of variety.)

A hidden gem in Kotor
Nestled within the historic walls, Hotel Vardar features spacious rooms with high-quality amenities, a generous breakfast, and really good staff, particularly Gordana, who made our stay nice.
Finding the hotel on foot was tricky, especially during a rainstorm. The access by car is limited and could be confusing for first-time visitors.

We had two rooms and both offered a lot of space, were cosy, clean and well equipped. Staff was particularily helpful and friendly. Hotel Vardar is situated directly in the city center of old-town Kotor (no traffic, just pedestrian) and offers a very nice terrace on the square where you can enjoy the sunset or just relax and watch life.
It's actually not the Hotel's fault but since it is directly situated in old-town Kotor there's a lot of bar's and cafés around. They produced quite some noise because each an every bar had the music quite loud (even on there terrasses and even when there were no guests -- I actually don't see why). I definitely recommend to bring ear-plugs.

Their rooms are always huge and silent with an excellent bathroom, Etro's lovely toiletries, for example.

The breakfast was a hit! Loved the large, comfortable room and the hotel’s charming design. Just noise from outside can be a downside. 😌

The breakfast buffet was extensive and included good local specialties, setting a perfect tone for each day.
Noise from outside, particularly from revelers passing by late at night, sometimes interrupted our sleep.

The hotel is very well located in the middle of the old town of Kotor. THe bed was fantastic and the noise from the streets was not very noticable considering it was in the middle of the city center.
